Our Backyard is a capitalist and anti-public transport political party in Thorildhøj which famously supports personal motorised vehicles which they colloquially call „cars“.

Beliefs

Our Backyard praises itself for its revolutionary idea that taxes should be decreased through disabling services which are free for all people, such as social care, education, Healthcare and transportation. This ban goes against the constitution of Thorildhøj and the Commonwealth, wanting to change both. They also want to increase working hours to "drive the economy".
They also belive that wealthier people should be taxed the same as others, disregarding their financial riches. The party is backed by large industrial companies preferring lower taxes and increased working hours for better income on the top tiers.
Contrary to popular belief, Our Backyard doesn't support the Sickle Party and thinks neutral of Fyndrix.

Election Promises

Our Backyard promised that if they were in full power, their goals would be:

  • Developing a network of paved ways across the country reaching to Grantorvet and Dalen and Thorildsby. This network would only be allowed to be accessed by private, motorized vehicles. This project would cost 200% of the price for the entire Thorildsby - Pantoborg railway, which on its own was a very expensive project. Countless bridges and tunnels are to blame. GRØNNE calls the project "one of the worst infrastructure projects of our country", using social segregation, death of wildlife and worse air quality as an example. Not to mention that some carcinogens were found in the cheap type of pavement that the party wanted to use for the project.
  • Tax reductions for wealthy people, who are naturally taxed higher than the average citizen. In compensation, public services like free healthcare, public transport and housing for people in need shall be reduced or entirely eradicated. These changes were deemed "Unconstitutional" by the current Thorildhøjan government. With this, they have also sparked fury in opposing parties, with PARSOC advocating for a complete ban of Our Backyard.
