Tungsolne is a densely-populated island off the coast of Thorildhøj, only having 2 streets on the entire island. It is famous for its warm climate, being a wonderful tourist hotspot and its production of sea-related products, such as fish cake and kelp rolls. The island was established due tue its abundance of guano, a natural fertilizer. After that, it was used as a military outpost until 0Ð, when the military was dissolved due to the constitution of the Unified Commonwealth. The name Tungsolne is derived from thorildsk Tung and Solnedgang, meaning sea kelp and sunset.
Culture
Cuisine
The people of Tungsolne enjoy a wide variety of fish-related foods they are famous for. Their delicacies can be enjoyed in fish shacks on the island and in cafés around the world, especially in Thorildhøj.
Fish rolls are the most famous food from Tungsolne, being considered a delicacy. They are sold for a high price, as its production by hand is very difficult - fish and rice have to be folded into thin layers of sea kelp.
Fish cake is a food famous for its cheap production: It is made of salted fish, water and rice starch. When prepared in a factory, it has basically no flavour. This is also the reason it is used as prison food. When it is preapred by hand, it has a light taste of fishiness and often homemade alcohol is added for a unique taste. It is served in small quantities, due to its marination in alcohol.
History
Tungsolne is the longest construction site of its size in the world - it has been completely rebuilt three seperate times. It is to such extremes, that many sarcastic shows were made about the island

Castle style outpost
Firstly, Fyndrix wanted to build a settlement on the island which we now know as Tungsolne since April 2024. For context, back then, the Venhedskvartier of Thorildsby was only half built. When he implemented new ideas of architecture in Åranvik, such as tall roofs, facades, and rotation, he wanted to also make an exclave far away from Thorildsby, as a quick project where he could implement the same ideas too. The state of the project then was actually inspired from an old castle he built in July 2023, before the world was created. That project became lost to time.
As mentioned, he inspired himself from the then-new Åranvik. The island was made of stone bricks, with a cathedral. The entire island was demolished on 28 April 2024, as Fyndrix claimed it to be "very ugly".

Åranian Exclave
On 26 December 2024, Fyndrix wanted to rebuild the island to new standards and as a small project as he was tired of unfinished projects. So on the same day, he made a livestream where he was making the ground of the island with a prototype building. It was built very similarly to Åranvik's building style, with bricks being at the bottom of the building. The entire area was inspired from US colonial architecture, especially Fell's Point in Baltimore.
Mediterranean Island
After Fyn's visit of the region of Provence, especially Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, he felt the inspiration to build something in the style he had seen there. So on May 10, he started a new livestream with the hopes of finishing the project. Fyndrix implemented important parts of Provence he had experienced, such as the yellow colour palette, small windows and metal bars on some windows.
Future
With one third of the island being finished in one livestream, the future for Tungsolne is looking very bright - with hopes of being completed soon.
Lore
The was originally inhabited due to its original abundants of guano, the best fertilizer at the time. This made the island, one of the richest places in the world and attracted newcomers. However, due to the limited space on the island, housing was very dense, with very steep prices.
During the colonizing of Grantorvet, the island was not captured and remained quiet. By that time, almost all Guano was utilised already. After the Lanborgians were defeated in the Battle of Granorvet, the island became an importand lookout spot for illegal ships and boats. This became unutilised after the creation of the Unified Commonwealth, as peace became mandatory.
After the boat line from Grantorvet to Tungsolne got improved with new boats, the island became "a secret gem in Thorildhøj" according to travel guides. This paired with the warm summers, makes this island a great vacation spot.
Stereotypes
Due to the warmer temperatures, the island's residents asked Thorildhøj for a compensation, in the form of free time. This became known as the Siesta, an event from 12-15 o'clock, when noone is working. This attributes to the main stereotypes of the island, most importantly - being lazy.
As the island is so small and its population has been kept at the same level, there were speculations, whether Tungsolnians commit inbreeding. This belief has further been excelled with the establishment of the siesta, with conpiracy theories stating that this was an excuse for intelligence loss during inbreeding.
The Commonwealth sees no scientific explanation to ban mating of residents of the island, making it completely legal.
