Litasveit is a district in Lanborg. It borders the Lanborg Central Station in the north, the Lanborg channel in the east and the Flatelat district in the south and west. The entire district is built around the Temple of Colour and Melon Square in the middle of the district.
The name is derived from "Lita" meaning "Colour" and "Sveit" meaning "Area" or "District" in Tungmal. During the War of Dignity, the district had the Altsprech-ized name "Littaschweidt".

History

The "first three" buildings of Lanborg (January 2024) were built in Litasveit, taking inspiration from Spanish and Mexican small houses as well as Åranvik, creating a new building style seen as "innovative" back then. When Lanborg's full construction was initiated, the style was copied and copycat panels of glazed terracotta were added. 28 buildings of the copycat panel style were built.
When Copycats+ was added as a mod, there was only one row of buildings to finish, so Fyn and Kat made Facades of the new copycats, inspired by the ones in Flatelat. They stand on the waterfront and there is a total of 6 buildings of the mentioned type. Accompanying to that, the waterfront was constructed, matching the rich colours of the buildings.
As Lanborg wil be an architecturally heterogen city See Fyndrix' Lanborg streams 1-9 and 15-17 for the construction of the Litasveit district.

Lore

The district on the place of Litasveit was destroyed in the Fire of Lanborg at -98Ð, only the old chamber of commerce survived, which was renovated and we know today as the Temple of Colour. The chancellor at the time demanded a new district to be built on the burnt one, using modern building techniques and invested heavily to show the world what Lanborg was capable of. Back then, bright colours symbolized richness, pride and cultural diversity, which the chancellor wanted to make Lanborg famous for. Additionally, it make Lanborg look unique.
The Temple of Colour was given colourful implants to match the look of Litasveit.

Transport

Litasveit is connected to the Lanborg Metro, serving the Lanborg Central Station with exits on the waterfront and Járnbrú, which are both inside of Litasveit.
