Geography

Melon Square lies in the Litasveit district of colour in Lanborg. To the north, there is the famous landmark Temple of Colour. To the east, there is the central station of Lanborg, metro and rail. To the west, the square is close to the water but will be blocked off by buildings. The square is connected to Turngata, Litagata and Litakross.

Lore

Starting in -412Ð Lanborg began to expand and turn into a port city. Suddenly, lots of melon trades were passing through Lanborg. When Ari I tasted one, he immediately wanted Lanborg’s entire population to have access to them, thus he erected melon square to trade melons and melon-related foods.

Lanborg’s population was delighted over these new foods. Over time, Melon Square turned into an important cultural place for the Lanborgians. Many cultural events and shows were hosted on it.

After the Fire of Lanborg, the square was completely burned down, as the buildings were made of combustible material. The new buildings were built out of colour palettes, even having the dedicated museum on the square (Temple of Colour). The street shape stayed the same, just as the uncombustable Temple of Colour.

During the War of Dignity, Melon Square mostly remained the same. Even though the population realised that Melon trades became less frequent, they didn’t think much of it. Only when Einar was forced to tell them of the horrors he did in Årania, the population started resisting. Eventually, they heard of a new force, the Unified Commonwealth, that would liberate all Lanborgians that hailed them. With this knowledge, thousands of Lanborgians went to melon square, got on their knees and started hailing Fyndrix‘s Commonwealth. Einar was mad at his people defecting and began slaughtering the hailers. However, Fyndrix heard of the hails, stepped in and slaughtered Einar at a point in time which is defined to be exactly 0Ð. This lead to the creation of the Commonwealth and Kat being appointed chancellor of Lanborg.
