Einar

Einar (-102Ð to -42Ð) was the ruler of the Lanborg Empire. He was considered a dictator and caused the War of Dignity. He was born in -102Ð, with his father Ari II dying at -81Ð, when Einar was 21Ð old.

Influence in modern pop-culture

Einar has influenced modern pop-culture in more ways than expected: Some of his speeches are today seen as incredibly "stupid" or "funny", due to their untruthness or incorrect pronounciation.
Many political satires, such as The Tomato have used his speeches in an attempt to reflect the Lanborgian Nationalist Movement and its absurdity, while Åranians often mention the speeches when in an argument with Lanborgians or Høvemarkians.

The most famous speech is the brigade speech, as it was pronounced on the day of the Brigade Surge, a total failure from a military point of view: Einar sent his elite troops, the Brigade, in an attempt to take control of the recently lost Åranvik. However, the army of the Northern Coalition planned to overthrow the troops and cutting them off from the Lanborg Empire, which was successful. This is considered the "point of no return" for the war in favour of the Northern Coalition, leaving Einar in embarassment.

War against Årania

On his deathbed, Ari II, father of Einar, instructed his son to wage war against Årania because he suspected Åranians to be at fault for the Lanborg archive fire. Einar unfortunately turned out to be a strong military leader and seized large amounts of territory in -67Ð.
