Stráskúr (pronounced sˈtraskyːɾ/ stras-kewr) is a hiking village next to Lanborg and is located in Høvemark/Hófasviði. Hikers from the entire world regularely come here to look at the stunning Stráskúr Waterfall, reaching 47m tall as well as the stunning view of the orange mountains.

Geography

Stráskúr is built on a humanmade canal watering crops on rich soil. The canal turns into a waterfall in the west of the settlement, falling for 47 meters. There are viewing platforms on the cliff for a better view not only at the waterfall, but also at the orange mountains. The only way to get down the cliff is by elevator or a pathway, which also connect all of Stráskúr with Lanborg. In never rains there, but water can be pumped from underground sources.

Architecture

The calcite houses have been embroided by blue copycat steps. This is Fyndrix' attempt at resembling Ukranian farmer houses.

Agriculture

Stráskúr sees four different crops: Wheat, Tomato, Beetroot and Potato. All of the surplus wheat is dried in the sun to make hay, which is used as animal feed or as a building material, when combined with animal manure. This is what gives Stráskúr its name - in English it is "Straw Roofs".
