The Reimer-Randrup Generator is method of renewable kinetic-energy generation using the heat of the earths core.
It was initially conceptualised and tested by [[Erick Reimer]] in -52[[Ð]] and then modified into it’s current form by [[Emilia Randrup]] and her team after the creation of the [[Commonwealth]].
==History==
Around 5[[Ð]], lots of cities were getting desperate for higher power availability, thus [[Emilia Randrup]], by some called the greatest physicist of our time, made a team to invent a safe and renewable energy Generator based on [[Reimer]]'s documents that were dug up in [[Stráskúr]]. 
Over the next 2[[Ð]] she ran hundreds of calculations and made dozens of revisions until eventually, her team came up with a design that was considered safe. The first test of this new device was made in the old [[Thorildsby]] factory, where the [[Legeplads]] station is located. The operation was a total success, creating way more power than is necessary to run the entire [[Thorildsby Light Rail]]. Nowadays, the [[Commonwealth]]'s entire power generation is handled by Reimer-Randrup Generators, standing in each of the cities' main power supplies.
==Functionality==
The functionality of [[Erich Reimer#Invention of thermal generators | Reimer's Prototype]] was pretty simple, by digging a hole deep into the ground one could harvest the heat trapped under the ground and use it to boil water and use it to power a steam engine. Unfortunately, during [[Reimer]]'s second test of this procedure a massive earthquake occured, killing many animals and maybe also some [[Kalkdui]]ans. Appearently, two holes which are that deep can connect and form a crack underneath the earth as well as cause magma to flow out and change the terrain above. This incident is probably responsible for the so-called [[Butterknife Cliffs]] south of [[Lanborg]].
Fixing this issue was one of the main tasks for [[Randrup]] and her team. Their final solution was it to fill the hole with a specially rigid metal grid, which still allows fluid to pass through without harming the very fragile underground. This metal grid is made to mimic the hardness properties of the stone that is being dug into, thus not radically changing the stone structure.

Its capitol is [[Lanborg]] and the region was established together with the [[Commonwealth]], at 0[[Ð]]. The region's predecessor was the [[Lanborg]] Empire, having a similar size to Hófasviði. The region was renamed due to its connection to the times of the [[War of Dignity]] and the genocides that came with it. Unlike its predecessor, voting became availible to everyone and the power of king and chancellor became mostly symbolic.

The idea wich saved the city was to put metal helmets on the geese and give the geese cannabis since it was the only plant left, that the geese could eat and then have an aggressive effect and sight on the lanborgians since they were the intruders.
Since geese are very territorial and very aggressive, it worked really well and the lanborgian soldiers went home full of tears and fear because their comrades fell brutally in the war of Pantōborg.

Lanborg (also Lankhöfuðborg) is the biggest city by planned size of the Thorildsby Project.
Lanborgians nowadays usually speak New Lanborgian ([[Tungmal]], Icelandic), but you will occasionally still come across books written in Old Lanborgian ([[Altsprech]], German). Due to most Lanborgians wanting to clean up their very grim past, Old Lanborgian is only used by criminal organisations such as the [[Lanborgian Nationalist Movement]]. Before [[Altsprech]], there were also Tribal languages, similar to Occitan. The name of Lanborg comes from «Lançar» in Tribal, meaning «to throw», as the settlers on the main island often fought with bows. Borg comes from castle, as there is a castle planned there.

At the end of December 2023, [[Thorildsby]] was already a big and prosperous city. Hoping to replicate and expand on [[Thorildsby]]'s unique building style, [[Fyndrix]] and [[Cat]] set out to find places where new cities may be constructed. They eventually found an island surrounded by a river about 2km south of [[Thorildsby]].
A couple of days later, the [[Lanborg central station]] was constructed on a creative world and was later pasted into the map of the [[Thorildsby project]].
[[Fyndrix]] also built the initial buildings, which would become a template for the Colour district over a year later.
===Railway to Thorildsby===
On the 7th of January 2024, [[Fyndrix]] and [[Cat]] wanted to build a railway from Lanborg to [[Thorildsby]]. Just a few minutes earlier they updated the [https://modrinth.com/mod/oculus Oculus] mod. To their horror, when they arrived in [[Thorildsby]] a lot of building blocks from the create mod have disappeared from [[Thorildsby]]. They did manage to recover the damage with help of a back-up world, but this taught them a lesson to always test all mods and updates before using them. This event is now known as the [[7th January Corruption]].

Many sailors liked being able to buy supplies in Lankhöfuðborg which freed up a lot of space for more cargo. With more and more sailors arriving in Lankhöfuðborg, more people started moving to the town causing an explosion in population and a massive expansion outside of the castle walls until Lankhöfuðborg filled the entire island. What was once just a small administrative castle has turned into one of the most important port cities.

Unexpectedly, Ari II got fatally ill in -81Ð. His last decree was for Einar to start a war against [[Årania]], as Ari II always suspected the [[Årania]]ns to be responsible for the city and archive burning down.

Peace for the rest of the Lanborgians' lives was promised to all Lanborgians that went to the Melon Square and praised [[Fyn]], an overmighty figure in the entire world. However, Einar was still against this and punished everyone who worshipped [[Fyn]].

The idea wich saved the city was to feed the geese the drugs and put on them the small metal helmets to let them fight the lanborgian army.
Since geese are very territorial and these geese were under drugs it worked really well and the lanborgian army was defeated.

The traditional cuisine of Pantōborg is a fishsoup with horse-meat inside wich is called Ribinkœ.
Also pantōborgians are famous for their pies,
one of the most famous pies is the cheese-pie with smoked horse wich is called sirrøs.
