MOONMODE, ''real name Luna Erikson'', is a techno and house music producer from [[Grantorvet]].
Her style is considered very unique and her music consists of both highly experimental and more general tracks, appealing both to casual house-listeners and hardcore groups like the [[Lanborg#Raves|Lanborg rave scene]].

==Personal life==
Luna Erikson was born on 2.04[[Ð]] in [[Grantorvet]]. She claims that she has always been fascinated by music in all of its forms. At 15[[Ð]] old, she received her fırst proper mechanical music station, including the ability to synthesise instruments, which was and still is very new and experimental technology. Around 20[[Ð]] Luna managed to contract a disk-producer and release her first full-scale studio album "A thousand nights". Although she was very nervous to release it, the album with it’s highly experimental sounds sets the starting point for the modern techno and house music scene.
Following the success of her first album, she began touring the [[Commonwealth]] as a DJ and has been on stage for dozens of events, causing her to become increasingly popular. Currently, she lives in [[Thorildsby]], but regularly visits other cities both for concerts and in her spare time.

===A thousand days===
At 20.50[[Ð]] MOONMODE managed to release her first ever full-scale studio album together with a local disc manufacturer from [[Thorildsby]]. The highly experimental tracks were very much appreciated by critics and essentially mark the starting point of modern techno music in the [[Commonwealth]]. Within 0.1[[Ð]] of the album's release, over 10,000 copies of it were sold, grossing an estimated 5,000kr. Following this, MOONMODE grew in popularity and attended many concerts as a DJ all around the world.

Following the success of "A thousand days", MOONMODE wished to make an album which appealed a lot more to ravers and not so much to casual listeners. Her idea was to use new theories in music and technology to tap into the already well-established [[Lanborg rave scene]]. This resulted in the production and release of "The elixir" on 21.76[[Ð]], a less experimental and also more specific album. While it did well with critics, it didn’t manage to match the success of "A thousand days", selling only approximately 3,200 copies.

The Thorildsby Project is a Minecraft Project made by [[Fyndrix]] with the intent of creating a history-accurate utopia. In that category falls extensive lore planning which influences culture, economy and architecture. One of the best examples of that is [[Lanborg#Lore|lore-rich Lanborg]] and [[Thorildhøj Parliament|Thorildhøj politics]]. 
The project is highly documented outside of this wiki, such as on [https://www.youtube.com/@Fyn-struggling Fyndrix' channel] who is making world tours and [https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTJO18nNCroQ8VjufSuS_0n876Bz3i_Bz&si=LCrx6hS8EsCt2dSZ streams of the project]. ==Beginnings==
The Thorildsby Project was started on the 23rd of September 2023.

So far, the biggest cities are:
[[Thorildsby]] in the [[Thorildhøj]] Region,
[[Åranvik]] in [[Årania]] and [[Lanborg]] in [[Høvemark/Hófasviði]].

It was initially created by [[Fyndrix]] (Owner) and [[Kat]] (Co-Owner). There’s also a full [[List of Members]].

Time for lore on this project is counted in [[Ð-Time]] (pronounced Eth-Time). The current [[Ð-Time]] is unknown.

==Overview==
There are 10 settlements on the project spanning accross 4 countries/regions. Every country has its own culture, language, architecture etc. All of them are united under one union - the [[Unified Commonwealth]]. The union was created after a world war ([[War of Dignity]]) to prevent other wars and conflicts through forcing cooperative projects. This brought all countries closer in modern times.

[[Thorildhøj]] hosts the first and biggest city of the project - [[Thorildsby]] (capitol), allthough by lore the city [[Lanborg]] is bigger. [[Thorildhøj]] also hosts the small city of [[Grantorvet]] and [[Dalen]], which are connected to [[Thorildsby]] via a light rail, the [[Letbane]]. There is also an island off the coast of [[Grantorvet]] called [[Tungsolne]], which also belongs to [[Thorildhøj]]. [[Thorildhøj]] being the oldest region of the project, most of the area is settled. With that comes the problem of changing building quality: [[Thorildsby]]'s construction lasted almost 2 years meaning that every district looks vibrantly different. [[Thorildhøj]] is mostly inspired by Denmark, such as its language and cuisine. The country is uniquely unpatriotic, even though it helped the victims of the [[War of Dignity]].

[[Årania]] is the second region by history, as [[Åranvik]] was the first city outside [[Thorildhøj]]. The country also hosts the city of [[Lyvan]] and the small settlement [[Vesgrot]]. The country was involved in a world war in the role of the victim, being attacked by [[Høvemark]] over 70 years ago. After winning the war with the allies' help, the country proposed the union of nations ([[UC]]) and therefore has a very strong patriotic community and still has low spite to their invadors, reflecting on modern-pop culture. With the strong patriotism comes the worldwide diaspora of [[Årania]]ns, who fled from the war. The region is inspired by Provence in France and Mediterranean communities across Italy and Spain, fitting to the weather.

[[Høvemark]] or [[Hófasviði]] is the third country in the world, only with the capitol being [[Lanborg]], which is also the biggest city in the world by lore. There is also a small farming society called [[Straskur]]. The country invaded [[Årania]] over 70 years ago, after which it was part of a demilitarized zone and then later united through the [[UC]]. The east of the country will have unique culture and languages as well as a planned city, with a strong antifascist community, as the eastern [[Høvemark]]ians have been racially segregated by the war over 70 years ago, making eastern [[Høvemark]] vibrantly different from eastern [[Høvemark]]. [[Høvemark]] is a very unique place and is not tied to any specific inspiration and more so combines different inspirations from the real world, for example southern Germany, Hungary and Ukraine.

Kalkdui is a planned country to the west of [[Årania]], with close ties to them due to their allyship in the [[War of Dignity]]. Both regions have ethnically mixed across the decades and share many similarities. The country will be located in a desert and is inspired by Marocco, Algeria and Tunisia.

[[Pantokyst]] is a country made by [[DrBackstein]] for his questionable construction programs (the capitol [[Pantoborg]]). [[Pantokyst]] is by far the least developed country of the [[UC]], both economically and culturally as noone cares about that place and [[DrBackstein]] is too lazy to write the lore. One potential reason for that is that [[DrBackstein]] wanted his freedom of construction, then became very inactive and doesn't harmonically unite buildings. [[Pantoborg]] to this day contains only 2 accessible buildings and no city design. According to the politcal satire "The Tomato", the best thing to see in [[Pantoborg]] is the train station, because you can use it lo leave [[Pantoborg]].

Architectural styles is the main reason of the continuation of the [[Thorildsby Project]] beyond its orginial purpose, to test out mods. [[Fyn]], the main builder and owner enjoyed the freedom of architecture so much that the project extends to this day all the way from 2023. The first city to be started was [[Thorildsby]], especially its preserved [[First Way]], using the Thorildhøj Classic style, which is now present across the old [[Thorildhøj]] Monarchy.

[[Thorildhøj]] oldslate derives its name from the region [[Thorildhøj]] and deepslate, the material, of which most buildings in the style are constructed.

rchitectural Density is a theory proposed by modern researchers of architecture in the [[Thorildsby Project]]. 
The theory says that buildings of similar looks should be close to each other and buildings of no other type should be inbetween them. If an area is heterogen, the areas of similar buildings are small, whereas in homogen areas, areas of similar buildings are big.

==Classes==
===Homogen===
Homogen architectural density was preferred by [[Fyn]] after building the heterogen city [[Thorildsby]], as it was believed that bigger districts are "superior" to heterogen areas. One explanation for this could be the fact of looking down a street and seeing similar buildings until the end of it; just like it is normal in real life. 
After the horseman of homogenity, [[Åranvik]] has been contructed to big size, [[Fyn]] noticed he was wrong about homogenity. He found out that homogenity makes exploration undesirable, as it takes a longer time to walk. Another difficulty is the lack of creativity in design, as many buildings have to be similar all the time. 
One explanation for this, is the smaller scale to which is built in the [[Thorildsby Project]]: Buildings are smaller to look more inviting and down to earth, unlike in real life.

Heterogen architectural density is preffered by [[Fyn]] nowadays, for multiple reasons. The first city to be built was heterogen - [[Thorildsby]]. It was built that way out of architectural curiosity - to build more different districts. After [[Thorildsby]]'s construction, homogen design was preffered and seen as the future. After the construction of [[Åranvik]] and [[Lyvan]], [[Fyn]] noticed it was undesirable to walk the giant districts, so heterogen areas were preffered again. 
This caused [[Lanborg]] to be built overheterogenicly, in a crave for heterogenity. To Homogen cities like [[Åranvik]] and [[Lyvan]] were added districts that break up the homogenity with a new architectural style of buildings. Notable examples include: [[Lanborg]] and [[Thorildsby]]
